Red Sox, hail, wedding & trains

I know I always start my posts like this but - another busy weekend!!

It started on Thursday - Ray & I got last minute got tickets to the Sox game! It was awesome and nice to get down there for a game. We weren't sure if we were going to make it to one this year! Bill Cosby threw out the first pitch (kind of funny) and Dice-K pitched a good game!

Ray left on Friday AM for his "man-cation" with his 16 fraternity brothers so I was flying solo with the kids all weekend. We headed to Dundee Park with my sister and her kids on Saturday morning and then the storms moved in - we had INSANE hail! Max was mesmerized by it! "It's snowing in the summer time - that's silly!"

Sunday it was off to Boothbay for my childhood friend, Arin's wedding. The day was beautiful and she looked amazing!

The boys stayed at Ray's parents for the night and met us in Boothbay at the Train Museum - SO AWESOME! I'd never heard of it but - I highly recommend it! Max loved every minute of it.

Off to get some ZZZZ's! Here are just some pictures of the boys...

Is summer really almost over?

Just a quick update. We're still going at about 900 miles an hour and won't stop for another 3-4 weeks. The boys are great! Max is becoming quite the Picasso these days! Here's some of his masterwork on the Magna-doodle:

"An Apple w/ a bite taken out of it"

"This is a 'person eight' - a eight in a person" How cute!

Other than finding his new talent of coloring (don't let it fool you he definitely does a lot of scribbling! He doesn't always make pictures like this!) he can be found playing baseball, riding his bike or just being a typical almost-4-year-old!

Mason is awesome. He's starting to sit up, rolling all over the place and cutting two teeth! He's pretty much sleeping through the night now - yah! Here are a few photos of the handsome little man...

Is he going to be a looker or what? ;-) STUD

On this weekends agenda: Ray's heading North for his annual camping/drinking/fishing/drinking/eating/drinking trip with 16 of his college buddies! I plan on taking the boys to the Lewiston Balloon Festival on either Friday night or Saturday night and then Sunday my childhood friend, Arin is getting married in Boothbay Harbor so Ray & I will enjoy some time without the kids at her wedding! The boys will be staying with Ray's parents and we'll get them on Monday after we recover! ;-)

5 months

The little man is growing up so quickly - he's 5 months today! He's still as precious as ever! He's cutting two teeth, has a pretty bad cold (snotty nose) and actually has a canker sore at the tip of his tongue (ouch)...BUT he still manages to giggle and smile all the time! Here's his 5 months picture with his Patriots bear...

I've been so bad about taking photos lately, so I don't have any over the past week of Max :-( I was going to take a few today but he went to the movies with Ray and once they got home we had dinner, played for a bit and went to bed. I'll be sure to take a few and post them! Max is awesome and still such a good brother! Mason is quite smitten with him! Each day he makes me smile - he's got quite a sence of humor!!

In other news:

Ray & I did the Beach to Beacon on Saturday (10K). Ray did well! Me on the other hand...I finished -we'll leave it at that! However, we've signed up for 2 more races (only 5K's) for September to keep up with the training. I have set a goal to lose 15-20lbs before my friend, Julie's wedding on November 15th. It's a fairly lofty goal but I'm tired of being chubby and I'm going to do something about it. The "baby weight" excuse is getting old. It's a poor excuse for just being lazy. Time to get off my duff, eat better and get 'er done!!! Hopefully now that I have announced this I'll actually DO IT and you'll all see the results!!

Off to bed! Have a nice week! I'll be sure to post more pictures later in the week...
